THE MUSINGS, ISSUE 04
Are You Lying About What You Actually (Actually!!) Want?

The Muses Program — Fall 2025 begins this October ✨ and to celebrate, I’m bringing you The Musings — a 7-part newsletter series uncovering the real subconscious blocks that keep high-achieving, visionary women from feeling fully in their power — and how to take it back.
Applications close in 3 weeks. If you’re ready to step into the most empowered, aligned version of yourself — the version who leads, creates, and receives with greater clarity and ease — learn more and apply here.
(P.S. After this series wraps, we’ll be spinning off into a women’s-only newsletter dedicated to helping you come back to your power again and again. If you want in, make sure you’re subscribed here.)
THE MUSING 04:
Are You Lying About What You Actually (Actually!!) Want?
One of my favorite moments inside The Muses is when a client finally says the thing out loud.
The real dream.
Not the version of the dream she thinks she should be doing or wanting.
But the quiet, soul-level one she’s carried for years — the one she’s dismissed, minimized, or pushed aside because it didn’t seem “realistic,” “right,” or “responsible” enough.
There’s often a pause afterward — a waiting for someone to jump in and say, “Well, that’s ridiculous,” the way her inner critic has been convincing her for so long.
But every time, whether it’s shared 1:1 or in a group of women, it suddenly seems not just possible — but obvious.
Like, “Yeah, obviously you could do that. We all see that it’s possible — even the logical next step for you.”
And then something inside her finally exhales. Because when we name the thing we actually want — the desire we’ve been avoiding or keeping small — we open the door to who we’re really here to become.
So many high-achieving women have spent their lives choosing dreams that felt safe, responsible, or socially approved. And then they wonder why they’re successful but unfulfilled. Why do they keep checking the boxes and still feel like something’s missing?
It’s not that their goals are wrong.
It’s that they haven’t felt free enough to tell the truth about what they really want.
This is one of the deepest gifts of self-connection: when your nervous system feels safe enough to want what you actually want — without apologizing for it, diluting it, or needing someone else to validate it first.
Inside this work, it’s not uncommon for women to completely reimagine their vision — not by burning everything down, but by finally letting it be theirs.
Ask yourself:
What’s the dream you haven’t allowed yourself to say out loud — and what would it feel like to stop holding it back?
