Your Monday Message 💌

Message #13: Joy isn’t a distraction — it’s your fuel.

Hiya ,

If you’ve ever felt guilty for enjoying your life while you’re still figuring things out — you’re not alone.

So many high-achievers unconsciously tie their worth to how much they’re doing, fixing, or striving. The idea of prioritizing rest, fun, or ease can feel irresponsible.

Like joy is something you earn, not something you live inside of.

But the truth is: if you’re feeling bogged down, joy is never in the way of your goals.
✹ It’s what helps you sustain them!!

Joy doesn’t pull you off track — it brings you back to yourself.

When we incorporate joy intentionally (not just as a way to escape or check out for a night — only to check in to a massive headache the next day), it reminds you of what you’re really striving for.

Joy softens your nervous system. It recharges your vision. It reminds you that life isn’t just about outcomes — it’s about how you feel along the way.

You’re allowed to experience beauty, connection, laughter, and ease — even if you haven’t hit the milestone yet. (Or even if you unconsciously keep moving the milestone without realizing it.)

That’s not a distraction. That’s a celebration of all the effort you’ve undoubtedly already put in đŸ€ Let yourself live a lil!

Try this this week:

  • Ask: “Where can I choose joy, even if nothing big is ‘done’ yet?”

  • Let yourself fully enjoy one thing without guilt — a meal, a walk, a conversation.

  • Schedule a joy moment like you would a meeting — and don’t cancel on it.

  • Remind yourself: “Joy isn’t indulgent. It’s necessary.”
